About Us

Our Story

The American Hygiene Coalition, established in 2024, is dedicated to ensuring that all Americans can access essential hygiene products they cannot afford or obtain through SNAP benefits.

Our national network of hygiene hubs and targeted grass roots organizations source and distribute toiletry necessities directly to individuals or through a network of direct service agencies, similar to how food banks distributes food.

Originally starting as a peer networking group in October 2023, the American Hygiene Coalition is now led by the largest hygiene banks in the country and has a growing membership base.

Our collaborative model, the first of its kind in the U.S., aims to create a national presence to effectively distribute hygiene products across the country, increase our collective purchasing power, promote awareness and education on hygiene poverty, and share data and best practices.
